Why you should consider Inclusive Access:

  • You are automatically enrolled (opted-in) as participating for courses that choose to utilize IA. You will receive an email notification informing you which of your classes are part of this program, and you will see a “Course Materials by eCampus” link in Canvas.

  • Course materials will be available automatically through Canvas 1-2 weeks before the start of classes.

  • Payment for course materials will be automatically applied to your Miami University Bursar account.

  • If you do not wish to participate in the program, you will have 14 days from the start of classes to opt-out of participation, and you do so by using the “Course Materials by eCampus” link in Canvas.

Common Troubleshooting

How does the Inclusive Access Textbook Program work?

Inclusive Access offers students their course materials in digital format at the lowest cost possible. The digital course materials are available through Canvas, and the cost will be reflected on the student’s Bursar account.

This will be Miami University’s first semester running an Inclusive Access Textbook program through eCampus.com, so we want to let you know what to expect and provide information in case you run into any issues. We want to make the textbook process easier for students, faculty and staff, and school administration. Should you have additional questions after reviewing this information, please email miamioh@ecampus.com for more information.

eCampus.com negotiates discounted pricing directly with publishers on over 360,000 titles leading to students being able to realize savings of up to 75% off of new retail prices. Instructors have the advantage of leveraging a limitless catalog of titles, with additional titles added every week.

Simplified Process for Faculty

  • Click to see the opt-out deadline for this semester. If you opt-out, you will be responsible for purchasing your own course materials. Materials will not be available through your Canvas course.

  • Course materials are available at a lower price than through traditional purchasing options.

  • You are guaranteed to get the right materials for your course.

  • You will have seamless digital access to all course materials.

Students will access materials provided through the Inclusive Access program in one of two ways.

  • Use the “Course Materials by eCampus” link found within your Canvas course. The link will either say “Read Now” or “Launch Courseware”.

  • Use a link directly to publisher courseware (i.e., MyLab, Connect, MindTap). Please note that you may need to retrieve an access code from the “Course Materials by eCampus” link to activate publisher courseware.
